How the Evaluation License Works

1. Download and install the package on a Windows PC
2. Launch the application for the first time
3. Fill in your name and email when prompted
4. A 2-day evaluation license is granted immediately (no email confirmation needed)
5. Explore the full functionality of the simulator or tool
6. Contact ACMSL for a longer evaluation or volume licensing

Tutorial Viewer (~15 MB)

Required to read the comprehensive, encrypted tutorials that accompany each simulator. Available in English, Spanish, and French.

Simulator Base Package (~50 MB)

Common executables and libraries shared by all simulators. Install this first before installing individual simulators.

Active Stall WT Simulator – DSAS (~65 MB)

Real-time simulator for dual-speed active stall wind turbines. Squirrel cage induction generator. Requires Base Package.

Rotor Resistance WT Simulator – RRC (~65 MB)

Real-time simulator for wound-rotor WT with variable external resistance. Requires Base Package.

DFIG WT Simulator (~65 MB)

Real-time DFIG simulator with Back-to-Back converter. 50 Hz and 60 Hz versions. Requires Base Package.

Wind Farm SCADA Simulator

Real-time simulator of a complete wind farm including SCADA control centre. Requires Base Package.

Drive train analysis tool: compute the operational curve of variable-speed wind turbines using MPPT algorithms.
