This paper shows what we learned in the design of a specific data logger to collect data in the field for long periods (months) and their processing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-CA\">The data gathering had time resolution enough to characterize the short term variations of the wind and its relation to rotational speed in the generator axis, the energy produced, pitch evolution, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-CA\">This experience was used to find real functional parameters for each of the subsystems (pitch\/hub, brakes, nacelle\u2019s orientation, etc) of a stall machine with dual generator. Those parameters were key for the development of a Simulator\/Trainer for that wind turbine.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-CA\">It is also the first step for the design of a complete condition monitoring system specialized for wind turbines.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span lang=\"EN-CA\">Index Terms<\/span><\/i><span lang=\"EN-CA\"> \u2013 wind turbine, data logger, condition monitoring.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_cta][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][\/et_pb_section]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For detecting intermittent problems on a Wind Turbine the data collected on the SCADA of the WInd Farm does not have enough time resolution.
